iPad won't connect to enterprise wifi

I have an iPad Mini I am trying to connect to our companies bring your own device network. I think it is using WPA2 and a GeoTrust certificate based access control. The iPad acts like it is about to connect then says failed, before it ever asks for a password. I have power reset, installed the latest OS, used the network settings reset function and it still refuses to connect. If it helps, it was doing the same thing before I updated to 9.2. It is not a problem with the access point and I am able to connect to my home WiFi, and the guest (open wifi) which is broadcast from the same access point as the bring your own device network. Is there anything else I can try besides a full reset and restore?

Thanks

iPad Mini, iOS 9.2
